Bending Light: a memoir

Bending Light is the true story of an unwanted child with a horrible speech impediment, who escaped abuse at home by building a treehouse in the woods. Forced to abandon his refuge when his father moves the family to Florida after a health scare, he finds solace in surfing, turning pro at fourteen and moving out of his parents’ home by his junior year in high school. This is a story of passions and pirates, love and betrayal, success and silliness, faith, family, and friendship.
